I purchased a 2025 Audi A5 Prestige (pearl white) on September 30. The Audi dealership partners with Capital Autobahnd for paint protection film (PPF) and tint work. I agreed to have a front PPF (hood, bumper, mirrors, and fenders) and full window tint, including the windshield. My car stayed with them for about a week, and I picked it up on October 2.
The following week, around October 7, I had to drop my brand-new car off again for additional work, leaving me without transportation for several days. When I finally picked it up on October 17, I immediately noticed a purple hue and rainbow effect in the tint, especially across the windshield. The windshield looked blurry, almost like a saran wrap effect when driving.
I contacted the manager right away. He said it was normal and part of the curing process. By October 21, the issue persisted, and I reached out again. He told me I’d have to wait until Friday, October 24, to bring it back. That meant I drove an expensive, brand-new car for a full week with blurry and unsafe visibility.
During that week, I called other tint shops to get professional opinions. They explained the purple hue could come from either poor-quality film or certain high-end tints, but the distortion I was seeing was definitely not normal.
When I brought the car back on October 24, I asked them to remove all of the tint — front, sides, rear, everything. They agreed and removed it. However, when I drove home that same day, I noticed new scratches and spiderweb-like marks on my windshield once the sun hit it. I immediately returned to the shop before they closed to report it.
A service rep initially seemed helpful and said they’d look into it. Then two technicians came out and were extremely defensive, repeatedly saying “We didn’t do it.” I calmly explained that this was a brand-new vehicle with only 23 miles when I dropped it off and had never been anywhere else. Despite that, they kept denying responsibility.
I asked for something in writing acknowledging the issue, but they refused. The owner then came out — and his attitude was shockingly unprofessional. His tone was irritated and dismissive, and his words were, “There’s nothing we can do about it. We didn’t do it. Take it somewhere else and have them tell you what it is.”
For a company that services high-end brands like Audi and Porsche, this level of dismissiveness, defensiveness, and lack of accountability is unacceptable. I wasn’t there to argue — I was there to resolve a clear issue on a brand-new car. Instead, I was met with poor communication, unprofessional behavior, and no ownership of the problem.
What’s worse is that Capital Autobahnd has had my vehicle in its possession for roughly two and a half weeks total — longer than I’ve even been able to enjoy it myself. And after all that, I was left with scratches on my windshield, wasted time, and no resolution.
I’ve since spoken to several other PPF and tint companies, and multiple professionals confirmed that this business is known for overcharging customers while offering subpar customer service. Sadly, that matches my experience exactly.
They did my 2025 Toyota Tundra window tint and did a fantastic job. I will admit I was not well versed in what exactly I was looking for and they were able to make suggestions. They explained the different products they offer and I am super happy with the results.
I will say there was a hiccup with the scheduling that was out of their control. The rep I was speaking to was able to quickly identify that time was my main issue got me a resolution without me having to ask for it. I work in hospitality and this was really awesome for me to experience as a customer and went a long way with me.

I am very pleased with the overall look of the full body XPEL Stealth PPF installation and the Prime XR tinting. I am pretty happy with the whole process overall and even though I'm currently giving this business 4 stars I would recommend this business to others and hope to use it in the future.
The staff overall was very responsive and friendly and the pricing was straight forward and reasonable. They also offered to replace badging to help the overall look of the car which I happily excepted. The installation itself was done in a reasonable time and the quality overall was great. Have had one follow up which they recommend to fix any issues with the installation and that went relatively smoothly. There was one minor issue (lost a keycard) that occurred during the installation which they were very open about and went out of their way to correct on their own so that really isn't a factor in my score.
The one constructive criticism I will provide and the reason for the 4 instead of 5 stars is I do wish the paint correction step of the installation was done a little better. They did address a paint chip and a scratch relatively well overall, but if your looking for them they are still visible under the PPF. It could just be an expectations issue on my end when it comes to paint correction I was thinking most of paint issues would be relatively invisible under the PPF after correction (I am aware even a excellent touch up paint job would be relatively visible to the well trained eye).
Overall, once again I am happy with the work that was performed and have been very happy with the staff and service so far. I would highly recommend this business for PPF installation and tinting.
